Timeline

A very useful aid to visualisation and for working out which remedy was applicable at which time of life, is to plot the major events on a line between birth and the present.

If the specific symptoms of each event are also clearly elicited then you can also plot which remedies were needed at each event. This is very useful later for quick reference when the patient has a ROS, it means you already know which remedy they will likely need before they need it.

It also helps to percieve miasmatic influences, aetiology, patterns of suppression, development of pathology, the sequence of remedy picture development and remedy themes that run through the whole case; as well as being a useful tool for reassurance and explaining holistic principles applying to the patient as their healing unfolds, so they can understand and have confidence in the process.

Below is an example of a made up (but not untypical!) case.
You could also add remedies.
